Project Calculator

Estimate how much area you’ll be covering

In order to get an accurate quote for your project we often times ask you to provide a ballpark estimate of how many square feet or cubic yards will need to be covered. How do you get those?

First start by measuring the approximate length and width of the project area in feet, including any flowerbeds, water features and other landscaping. You can use a tape measure for smaller areas or a measuring wheel for larger areas. If you do not have access to these, you can walk the length and width of the project area, counting the number of steps you take and multiplying it by 2.5 (the average distance of a step). If you would like to calculate cubic yards, measure the depth of the area as well in inches.

Input the information you gathered into the calculator below to calculate the approximate square footage and/or cubic yardage. Keep in mind that these numbers are approximations and are intended to give a preliminary estimate for the initial estimate only. Final measurements will be performed during a follow-up appointment and be provided with the final estimate.
